Folk games - deBOkes

DeBOkes is an initiative of vzw Groep Ubuntu, where people with a mental disability or psychosocial vulnerability are ready to welcome you with enthusiasm. Come for lunch, enjoy a dessert or a drink and in the meantime compete against each other in one of the many folk games. An unforgettable experience for young and old alike. Nowhere else can you taste a service so pure, honest and authentic.

Going out with Staf Stekel (in Dutch)

With Staf Stekel, a visit to Texture becomes quite an experience for families with children! While playing, parents and children learn a lot about the wonderful world of flax. Staf Stekel lives in the museum. He makes all kinds of jokes and takes you on a walk. So get ready to search, draw and stick. In the world of flax, lace, textiles, machines and damask there is plenty to experience. Together with Staf Stekel you finally discover a secret code with which you can win a surprise.

Holder-de-bollard tour (in Dutch)

The Holder-de-Boldertocht is a playful city visit in the atmosphere of 1302. Children take to the streets in knight's lunch with a real treasure chest on wheels containing fun and educational assignments. During this medieval tour they get acquainted with the historic buildings of the city. Eventually, the children are knighted.

In the footsteps of the lion (in Dutch)

Kortrijk for children (in Dutch)

Together with the children we return in time. We explore medieval Kortrijk.

With a fascinating story from the guide in the alderman's room, the children grow into their new identity: they get a badge pinned up and become clergyman, nobleman or woman or porter (es). In that identity, the children compete against each other. They listen to stories, answer questions and earn coins. These coins undoubtedly lead to a reward!

Tailor-made historical children's walk

GidsenPlus offers historical stories for children from the age of 6 and this in places that appeal to the imagination such as the Schepenzaal, the Beguinage, the Belfry, the Broel towers.

Current events in the city are also included in the walk (adapted to the age of the children)
