Terra Mobile specialises in guided cycling tours. During the tours you learn about all aspects of the city centre and the surrounding area. The tours cover various themes. A maximum of 20 persons is allowed per guide.
Here's a selection of our wide range of guided cycling tours:
Kortrijk's architectural heritage
We traverse Kortrijk and its submunicipalities in search of well-known and less well-known but no less fascinating buildings. We observe and compare architectural styles, are introduced to master builders and patrons, inspect materials and craftsmanship, and listen to secret tales. An exploration by bike that can surprisingly expand your view of the city and its surroundings.
The canal, a long, broad story
Between the rivers Leie and Scheldt, Kortrijk and Bossuit, there is a part of Flanders waiting to be discovered in all its diversity. The straight canal is just our guideline directing us on a winding path along streams and ponds, chapels, hedges and woodland, narrow paths, arable fields and glens and numerous traces of a rich past.
Wandering through the flax valley
Specialising in flax fibre preparation enabled our ancestors to escape the swamp of 'impoverished Flanders' in the mid nineteenth century. The flax industry was mechanised and experienced an unprecedented boom. After the Second World War, the sector fell into decline. However the region underwent a magnificent reconversion without any state aid. This cycling tour, offering much more than the history of flax as its basis, guides you zigzagging through Kortrijk's Leie valley.
